that is Orlando International Academy!
Orlando International Academy (OIA) provides a unique boarding school opportunity in Orlando, Florida, a world-wide tourist mecca. OIA has partnered with The Crenshaw School, which provides daily college preparatory classes to our students. As we build our new home, boarding students are housed in our renovated, safe, clean and secure motel-facility located in the popular western section of Orange County, Florida, near Walt Disney World.
Orlando International Academy has connected with Palisades Resort, located at 14200 Avalon Road, Winter Garden, Florida, 34787, to provide a series of co-located two and three bedroom suites. Rooms are designed for two to three students but single rooms are available at additional cost. All rooms have private baths, kitchenettes, laundry facilities, and weekly maid service. Students are supervised by our trained staff, who have undergone complete background screening. Students have complete use of the amenities of the site with adult supervision. Each morning, students are transported to the school site for classes. Lunch is provided.
Students are provided three nutritional meals per day, except on Sundays when students have the option to sleep in and enjoy a leisurely brunch before heading out for one of the many excursions. Often, meals will be enjoyed in the “restaurant of the day,” so that our students can experience a variety of foods and dining venue.
What sets our educational program apart is the supplementary study opportunities available after school. We offer homework help, supervised study hall, English language courses, leadership classes, SAT and ACT preparation and over fifty on-line courses for additional credit at extra charge. OIA also observes a mandatory teacher-supervised study hall on week nights.
Weekends also make our program unique. Weekend activities available at extra costs are unrivaled by any school. Orlando is one of the biggest vacation destinations in the world. All OIA trips are supervised by trained OIA staff. A typical weekend could look this: Saturday begins with a full breakfast before spending the day at the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom where lunch and dinner will be arranged Return home for pizza. On Sunday, after a brunch, students will have a chance to shop at the Outlet Stores followed by dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and movie at the Universal Resort City Walk. Orlando and all of Central Florida provides the chance to visit many world renown attractions.
